Dwayne Frection

Born and raised in the Caribbean on the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago, Dwayne Frection comes to Flywheel with vast experience and knowledge of fitness. Dwayne has a degree in Exercise Science and is a certified group exercise, kickboxing and indoor cycling instructor.

At an early age, Dwayne played just about every sport. But at age 12 he began studying martial arts, and by age 17, became the youngest instructor at his dojo. Seeking ways to increase his stamina and endurance, Dwayne turned to kickboxing classes, which he soon began teaching at the dojo.

In 2002, Dwayne moved to Brooklyn, New York, and has been working as a fitness instructor for the past 9 years. Always seeking knowledge and a chance to expand his repertoire, Dwayne became certified in a few more forms of fitness, Indoor Cycling being one of them.

Dwayne believes that an individual needs to be internally motivated in order to master his/her fitness goals. This internal motivation combined with his love for competitive sports has driven him to constantly compete with himself, always pushing for a 100%, and this is what he tries to instill in his riders; the motivation to be the best they can be. Outside of the cycling studio, Dwayne enjoys swimming, vacationing, and jamming to sweet Soca music.
