Even at age five Kolina was destined to make dance and performing her life when she told her parents, “ I want to be a Broadway dancer when I grow up”! Early on she immersed herself in all forms of dance while performing in the show choir, select choir, band and school musicals. She received her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre with a Modern Dance Focus from The Boston Conservatory. Upon graduation, she ventured to New York City where her “triple threat” skills earned her a spot on the European Tour of Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Ladies, just 3 weeks after her NYC arrival. She performed throughout Germany, Spain, Norway, France and at Venice’s Teatro La Fenice. Kolina performed in the Broadway revival of the musical 42nd Street and in Radio City’s Christmas Spectacular. Her 13 years of performing have taken her to amazing regional theatres throughout the nation. You may have seen her as Rhoda in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at Detroit’s Fox Theatre. Some of her favorite roles to perform have been Bebe in A Chorus Line, Zaneeta Shinn in The Music Man, Ruby in Dames At Sea and The Ghost of Christmas Future in the Madison Square Garden version of A Christmas Carol. Kolina also loves yoga and the challenge of finding balance, serenity & health in this crazy city! She has taught dance throughout her career and relishes the opportunity to bring the beauty of movement and fitness to others by way of FlyBarre!
